Document Controller (London)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Document Controller to join our busy practice and develop their career with us in a well-structured, supportive environment. We are looking for a conscientious and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and organisational skills. This role will be working with the project teams to manage the flow of electronic information, collating and filing information within a well-established EDMS system.

• Assist project architects with the establishment of project-specific document control protocols and numbering systems

• Liaise with contractors, sub-contractors and the Project Team in the establishment of project document procedures

• Assist the Project Teams with the review and quality checking of all documentation prior to issue, including revision numbering, title blocks and file formats

• Issue, manage and maintain a wide range of project documents, correspondence and drawings

• Manage project information using a variety of project-specific EDMS systems

• Manage and control the drawings and correspondence between the project team and external parties, ensuring that the latest revisions are administered and distributed promptly

• Maintain the document control processes and ensure appropriate filing, storage and archiving of hard and soft copy material

• Ensure that project correspondence, received through the project EDMS is being downloaded, filed, and filtered through to all those necessary

• Assist project team members with using our internal EDMS system

• Undertake team training and CPD sessions in the use of our EDMS system

• Assist with writing guidance documents in the use and best practice associated with our EDMS system

• Liaise with other members of the document control team to ensure efficient task sharing across the team

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to work on multiple workstreams and to tight deadlines

• Knowledge of industry-standard EDMS systems

• Experience of SharePoint/M365 an advantage
