Completed in March 2011, this 79000m2 shopping centre is located in a new extension quarter to the south west part of Osijek with an aim to become a unique shopping and entertainment centre for Eastern Croatia and the surrounding regions.

Developed over four levels, the shopping centre includes an underground car park, multi-screen cinema, bowling alley and casino. The idea was to develop a sculptured building and integrate it into the urban grain while preserving a high visual impact, design on the principles of contemporary minimalistic architecture.

Portanova meaning 'new door' takes its name from a term that is conceptually based on the characteristics of the local environments and from the idea that the shopping centre will be a landmark and new entrance to the city.
