The designs for Azerbaijan’s principal hotel were completed in 2009 and are sited in Baku immediately opposite the Parliament and facing the Remembrance Gardens.

The 250-room bedroom tower is designed as a symbolic flame, which responds to the importance of oil to the nation, as well as exploiting the exceptional views from all the rooms to the Caspian Sea. The tower sits on a podium containing the public facilities of the hotel and a 30,000m² office building.
