Chapman Taylor to design Salzach Centre in Burghausen

Chapman Taylor has been appointed by HBB Hanseatische Betreuungs- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft to design the new Salzach Shopping Centre in Burghausen, Bavaria. The existing Salzach Centre, consisting of a group of buildings from the seventies, will be demolished and replaced by a new development with a total sales area of around 15,000 m² on two floors and an underground car park with 400 spaces.

The new building will move closer to the adjacent main street und will serve as a distinctive landmark when approaching the city from the north.

Bright colours, high-quality materials and large voids connect the two malls. The central space is a multi-storey atrium with a shimmering roof in the form of a forest canopy.

Construction will begin mid-2017, the opening of the shopping center is planned for the end of 2018/ beginning of 2019.
