Europolis in St Petersburg celebrates its third anniversary

Europolis shopping centre in St Petersburg is celebrating the third anniversary of its 2014 opening. The 60,000m² GLA centre has been a commercial and critical success, being 100% let since soon after opening, with average footfall of 25,000 people per day.

Europolis is a multi-level retail and leisure development in St Petersburg, Russia, designed to deliver stylish, modern and efficient retail around a strong mix of international and regional brands.

Taking its cue from the European-influenced name and branding, the malls and food court are strongly themed to represent distinct cities from across the continent – Paris, London, Rome and Barcelona. The retail and leisure offering is spread over three mall levels containing 160 stores, with numerous regional and international retailers – including the full suite of Inditex brands, Mediamarkt, Mango, Gant and a Prisma hypermarket.  A wide array of leisure uses are also present, led by Russia’s first ever family leisure park, a multiplex cinema, an open terrace and a large food court with panoramic windows.  This is all supported by a two-level underground car park with 1,300 spaces, as well as numerous metro, bus and tram links connecting the mall with the rest of the city.

Chapman Taylor conducted the feasibility study and detailed design, including interiors, for this themed shopping centre on behalf of FortGroup.

Congratulations to everybody at Europolis on this milestone!
