Jakarta: Director Jon Grant presents at ‘Mixed-Use Development’ event

Director of the Bangkok office Jon Grant recently presented on behalf of Chapman Taylor at the ‘Mixed-Use Development’ event in Jakarta, Indonesia. The event is designed for developers who wish to dive deep into the process of mastering mixed-use projects and the successful delivery of such developments.

Jon’s well received presentation demonstrated, through Chapman Taylor’s success stories and leadership in this sector, the benefits of complex retail-led mixed-use developments and their ability to be a focal point for social, commercial and economic growth. By offering not only retail but leisure, entertainment and housing developers can create a hub for the local community – a place where people want to live, work and play.

Tesco Bangyai, Plus Mall Bangyai, Tesco Rama II and Plus Mall Rama II were the case studies used to show how Chapman Taylor in Thailand are currently implementing this vision of the ‘mixed-use’ concept into projects. The benefits derived from implementing this include enhanced asset value, sustainable development, increased footfall and revenue, and an improved sense of community.

Jon’s presentation contributed hugely to the overall positive outcomes of the event, allowing developers to analyse the impact of public space and learn best practices when using mixed-use development projects.
