Chapman Taylor Bucharest wins international design competition!

It was announced on the 18th April 2012 that Chapman Taylor Bucharest has won an international design concept competition for Liberty Center Technological Park in Romania beating five other architectural practices including both local competitors and studios from both Italy and Portugal.

The scheme proposes the reconversion of the former furniture factory, Libertatea, in Cluj-Napoca in an “emblematic” Technological Park and envisages new pavilions and renovated historic buildings in a landscaped setting, providing contemporary offices for technology companies.

The winning design by the Bucharest team was considered closest to the vision of the developer regarding the innovative integration of an office complex and public space while reinforcing the industrial heritage of Cluj. Our local presence in Romania helped to secure the win.

Congratulations to Anthony Willats, Igor Bergmann and the rest of the Bucharest team.
